There are several breeds of wolf in Ughondrea, each unique in size, coloring, and special items. The original canine species was Fang, and all of the other breeds branch off from a common ancestor with a unique genetic code. Eventually this genetic code became so different from normal Fang DNA, and the fact that the normal Fangs shunned this differently evolving wolves, Fangs can no longer breed with the other species. Some species can breed with one another, and others can't.

Hybrids are extremely rare. A breeding between an Eagle and a Changling for example, will not result in a colorful wolf with wings. A litter between a Changling and an Eagle will result in several Changling pups and several Eagle pups, so pups of the same litter can be a different species.
The strain of DNA that controls the mutations is generally incapable of being combined with another mutation. Shades are recessive, so a breeding of a Shade to an Eagle will rarely produce a Shade. Changling is the most dominant gene, and then Eagle and Riverstone are equal.

Changling x Eagle = 60% chance of Changling, 40% chance of Eagle
Changling x Riverstone = 60% chance of Changling, 40% chance of Riverstone
Changling x Shade= 90% chance of Changling, 10% chance of Shade
Eagle x Shade= 80% chance of Eagle, 20% chance of Shade
Riverstone x Shade = 80% chance of Riverstone, 20% chance of Shade

[cs=2] Fang Wolves are the original wolf species on Ughondrea. They pride themselves for their unique evolutionary track, forever separated, and in their minds superior, from the other species of wolf. Their distinctive power is the ability to morph into bears, which they usually do so only in the presence of other Fang wolves, as it is their purest form.

Temperament	tend to hold themselves above other species generally proud and arrogant dont breed often, they live long so they dont need to can only produce pups with other Fangs, its genetically impossible with other breeds

[cs=2] The most mysterious and uncommon of all wolf species. They can breed with other species, but they have the recessive gene so the pups are rarely Shade. Most encounters, including breeding encounters, end with bloodshed. They like to be alone and dont like intrusion of their space.
Physical	lifespan: 25 years build: lean and tall males height: 4 feet at the shoulder female height: 3.5 feet at the shoulder male weight: 120-170 pounds female weight: 100-160 pounds fur: long and thin smokey gray or black fur eye color: black eyes with a red, green, blue, purple or yellow glow.
Temperament	keep to themselves vicious towards others never mate with the same wolf twice can breed with Eagles, Changlings, and Riverstones high male competition, female to male ratio is 1 to 20

[cs=2] Bright and beautiful, these small wolves are the most common wolf type of Ugondrea, natural selection has been kind to them.
Physical	lifespan: 13 years build: small and stocky, but delicate looking males height: 2.5 feet at the shoulder female height: 2-2.5 feet at the shoulder male weight: 80-120 pounds female weight: 70-110 pounds fur: long thick and silky, any three colors excluding black eye color: orange, yellow, or brown
Temperament	very appearance orientated spend a lot of time grooming complete flirts, have multiple mates at once can breed with Eagles, Shades, and Riverstones not very loyal
